Building Progress Update

The question I get asked a lot lately is “When are you going to open?” As much as I’d love to provide an exact date, there are still a few things are that are up in the air with our renovation project. So, I thought I’d provide a brief update on our progress. By the way, my answer to the question has been “Hopefully before Thanksgiving.”

The greatest uncertainty with our renovation project right now is with the timing of our roof trusses. We were proactive enough to have ordered the materials well in advance, however our truss maker has become extremely busy due to the recent derecho. I’ve been told the trusses are going to be delivered by the end of next week. I’m concerned that this delivery date may put us a bit behind on our schedule.

One of the recent positives in our project was the duct work. If you follow us on Facebook you may have already seen some pictures I shared from Relics Awry. Kyle, from Relics Awry, added a patina to our brand new ducts, which made them blend nicely with the existing building character. Kyle is also working on some display pieces for us. I think you’ll be amazed with his handy work, but I’m going to leave this as a surprise for when we officially open.

Below are some recent pictures from our renovation project:
